Introduction to Chapter 10 Eighteenth-Century Political Formations
The chapter throws light on the breaking up of the Mughal empire after the death of Aurangzeb in 1707 A.D. It discusses the inefficiency of the later Mughals and their faulty policies that led to the extreme downfall of the Mughal empire. It also discusses the advent of the East India Company and its impact the contemporary politics.
