JEE Advanced 2025: Exam Dates, Eligibility Criteria , Pattern and Syllabus

JEE Advanced 2025: IIT Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025, with the exam date expected in May 2025. Candidates who have passed or are appearing for their 10+2 exams and those who qualify the JEE Main 2025 cutoff are eligible to register. The exam is open to candidates who completed class 12 in 2024 or 2025. Those who took the Class XII (or equivalent) exam for the first time in 2023 or earlier are not eligible, regardless of subjects attempted.

Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Therefore, a candidate taking JEE Advanced 2024 can also take JEE Advanced 2025, but must appear for JEE Main again in 2025. Eligibility criteria should be checked as released by the JEE Advanced organizing institute for 2025.

JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

  1. Candidates must appear for two mandatory question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, each lasting three hours. Both papers include three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  2. Negative marking is applied to certain questions, with specific details provided in the "Instructions to Candidates" section during the exam. It is crucial to carefully read and adhere to these instructions.
  3. The question papers will be available in both Hindi and English, with the option to switch languages during the exam. In case of discrepancies, the English version will prevail.
  4. Each paper has a duration of three hours (180 minutes), with PwD candidates receiving a compensatory time of four hours (240 minutes).

JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria
