IMO Exam Pattern 2024

International Maths Olympiad invites students from classes I to XII

Level 1:  The first level of examination is conducted during school hours in the respective schools of the participants.

The Level 1 competition is an objective-type test of 60 minutes, consisting of 35 object-type (MCQs) for classes I to IV and 50 objective-type questions for classes V to XII.

The question paper consists of four sections:

o   Section-1: Logical Reasoning

o   Section-2: Mathematical Reasoning

o   Section-3: Everyday Mathematics

o   Section-4: Achievers Section

IMO is held on three different dates. Schools can choose any one date at their convenience. Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) prepares separate question papers for each examination date.

The test is in the English medium of the International Maths Olympiad.

SOF follows CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabus while designing IMO exam papers.

All students from classes I to XII are eligible for the IMO exam.
