About Parallel Lines Formula
To determine whether 2 lines are parallel, use the parallel line's formula. When we want to compare the slopes of two lines, we can use the parallel line formula. The distance between parallel lines remains constant.
For any 2 lines with equations y = m1x + c1 and y = m2x + c2, the formula to know that the lines are parallel is:
- m1=m2
- where,
- m1 & m2 are the slopes of the two lines.
