Number Systems: Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and Relationship between numbers.

Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time and work.

Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.

Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.

Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.

Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin2? + Cos2?=1 etc.,

Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart.

Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as maybe expected of an educated person.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.

 

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates preparing for SSC CHSL 2025 should be familiar with both the new syllabus and the exam pattern. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) includes the exam pattern in the official notification, which applies to all three tiers of the recruitment process.

Frequently Asked Questions on SSC CHSL Syllabus 2025

The CHSL exam is scheduled to be held in August 2024 for Tier-I, November 2024 for Tier-II, and January 2025 for Tier-III. SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Exam: The JE exam is scheduled to be held in September 2024 for Paper-I and December 2024 for Paper-II.

Quantitative aptitude; 3. general awareness; and 4. general intelligence and reasoning. Every year, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) makes small adjustments or revisions to the syllabus for the SSC CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam, but otherwise it stays mostly the same.

 

The SSC exams will take place from February 21 to March 17, 2025, with practical and oral assessments occurring between February 3 and February 20, 2025

The exam pattern of the SSC CHSL includes structure of Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Tier 1 exam includes a total of 100 questions of 2 marks each from four sections - General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The Tier 2 includes Session I and Session II.

Tier 1 consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth 2 marks. For every incorrect answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted. Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete this exam.
