IIT Roorkee has shared the GATE 2025 exam pattern on its official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE Exam Pattern for ECE

For students getting ready for the GATE CSE 2025 exam, it's important to understand the test format, scoring system, and question types. Here’s what you need to know about the GATE 2025 exam for ECE:

The ECE exam will be worth a total of 100 marks.
It will be held online as a computer-based test.
The test will include three types of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
There will be both 1-mark and 2-mark questions.
The ECE paper will have 65 questions in total: 10 questions on general aptitude and 55 questions on electronics and communication.
The entire exam will last for 3 hours (180 minutes).
Negative marking applies only to the objective-type questions: 1/3 mark for 1-mark questions and 2/3 mark for 2-mark questions.
