The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will hold the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. This exam will cover 30 different subjects. GATE Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Documents Required

When applying for the GATE exam, candidates need to upload certain documents to prove they are eligible for GATE 2025. These documents must be uploaded while filling out the GATE application form. Here are some key points about the required documents:

1. Qualifying Exams (Finished or Ongoing):

  • If you finished your qualifying exams in 2025 or earlier, you need to upload your degree certificate, provisional degree certificate, course completion certificate, or a membership certificate from authorized authorities.

2. Expected Qualifying Exams:

  • If you will meet the GATE eligibility criteria in 2025 or later, you should upload a Provisional Certificate Letter from your institute's Head/Dean/Registrar/Department Head, or a copy of the marks card for Section A of AMIE (Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers).

3. Persons with Disabilities (PwD):

  • PwD candidates must upload a certificate from a recognized authority. Only candidates with at least 40% impairment will get a concession on the application fee. This certificate will also be needed during admission at the assigned institute.

4. Backlogs in Qualifying Exams:

  • If you have failed subjects (backlogs) in your qualifying exam, you need to upload a copy of the final year mark sheet from your institute. Mark sheets downloaded from the internet will not be accepted.

5. SC/ST Category:

  • SC/ST candidates must upload valid proof to get a concession on the application fee. Only certificates from authorized officials will be accepted.

6. Dyslexic Candidates:

  • Dyslexic candidates should submit a certificate from authorities confirming their condition to access the services of a scribe.

GATE Eligibility For M.Tech
