IIM CAT 2024 Registration Application Process

Step 1: Register for CAT 2024

1. Open the Official CAT Website
2. Select the 'Register' tab under the 'New Candidate Registration' section.
3. Fill in your name, date of birth, email ID, mobile phone number, and nationality.
4. Click on the 'Generate OTP' tab.
5. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number upon successful registration.
6. Enter the OTP in the given field to verify your CAT 2024 registration.

Step 2: Filling up CAT Application Form 2024

After verification, candidates will receive a user ID and password on their registered email ID and mobile number. To fill the form, log in again using the CAT 2024 user ID and password.

The CAT registration form consists of six sections. Candidates must fill in relevant details in all six sections for successful submission. Below are the details related to the six sections of the CAT exam registration form 2024:

1. Personal Details: Enter details such as name, date of birth, father’s name, category, gender, nationality, communication address, email ID, mobile phone number, etc.
2. Academic Details: Provide class 10 and 12 exam scores, bachelor’s degree details, marksheets, and details of other professional courses (if any).
3. Work Experience: If applicable, fill in details such as the name of the company, duration of employment, designation, etc.
4. Programmes: Select the IIM institutes of your choice and the MBA programmes you wish to pursue.
5. Test City: Mark your test city preferences. Candidates can select up to six cities in order of preference from first to last.
6. Payment: Pay the CAT application fee using Credit/Debit Card, Internet Banking, or Paytm/PayU mobile wallets.

Step 3: CAT 2024 Registration Fees

The third and final step in CAT 2024 exam registration is the payment of the application fee. After filling in the details in the first five sections of the form, click on 'save and continue' to proceed to the fee payment window.

The CAT registration and application process is a one-time, mandatory activity with no provision for offline form submission. CAT 2024 Correction Window

The correction window for CAT 2024 will be available online after the application submission deadline. Candidates can make corrections starting from the fourth week of September 2024. During this period, candidates can edit any incorrect details entered during the application process.

Failure to correct any errors will result in the application form being rejected, and the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam. The correction facility is limited to specific fields.

Modifications will not be allowed for date of birth, email ID, state, and mobile number. The edit facility will be available to rectify details such as test center preferences, photograph, and signature. The application correction window will be accessible online through login.

CAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following CAT 2024 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form:

1. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized institute/college are eligible.
2. There is no prescribed age limit for applying.
3. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD categories) in their qualifying exam.
4. Final year students and those who have completed their degree requirements but are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
