CAT Exam Schedule 2024

Pre Examination Schedule
- The advertisement/notification for the CAT 2024 exam was released on 28th July 2024.
- CAT 2024 registration began on 1st August 2024. Candidates can fill out the application form online.
- The last date for registration is 13th September 2024.
- Candidates can correct their images from the fourth week of September 2024.
- CAT 2024 admit cards will be available from 5th to 24th November 2024.
- The online computer-based test for CAT 2024 will be conducted on 24th November 2024 in three shifts/sessions.
Post Examination Schedule
- A few days after the examination, the answer key will be released by the authority. The CAT 2024 answer key, along with the question papers, will be available in the first week of December 2024.
- Candidates can raise objections against the answer key until the 1st-2nd week of December 2024.
- The CAT 2024 result will be released in January 2025.
- The CAT 2024 cut off will be released separately by the IIMs.
- Following the result announcement, the CAT 2024 admission process will commence.
CAT 2024: Important Events
- CAT Registration 2024: Candidates can apply for CAT 2024 by visiting the official website iimcat.ac.in and creating an account. After registration, candidates must fill out the CAT application form and pay the online fee of INR 2,500 for General category or INR 1,250 for Reserved category. The application form must be submitted by September 13, 2024. The fee is non-refundable, and payment is a mandatory step. Candidates who have taken the test previously will need to register again as old login IDs will not be valid.
- CAT Form Correction Dates: After the application process, candidates will have the opportunity to correct certain fields in their submitted forms. Edits will be allowed for photo, signature, and test city preference only. Other fields will not be editable.
- CAT Admit Card Release Date: The CAT 2024 admit card will be available online from November 5, 2024. Candidates must download their admit cards from the official website using their login credentials. The admit card will be available for download until the exam day and is mandatory to carry to the test center. Digital copies will not be accepted.
- CAT Mock Test Release: The official CAT mock test will be available on the exam website without login a few days before the exam. It is crucial for aspirants to attempt the mock test to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and navigation.
- CAT Answer Key Release and Objection Dates: The official CAT 2024 answer keys and response sheets will be released within a week of the exam. Candidates can challenge any official answers by filling out an objection form. The examination body will review the objections and revise the answer key if necessary. The objection window will be open for 2-3 days.
