Water Conservation: A campaign towards it.

A campaign organized by various agencies of your city to create awareness among people to conserve water was joined by me last week. Considering water is the key factor that enables all life to survive and thrive, conservation of water has become an important component for a greener tomorrow. And there is no better way to do this than rainwater harvesting. In the campaign, a lot of techniques through which rainwater harvesting can be done in the modern times was shown to the people. Many people got actively involved in the campaign, they shared their ideas of water conservation. We also enacted a play showing how life would become without water. The areas where water shortage is always an issue were visited. They used to pollute the entire water body i.e. river, ponds by bathing in them, washing utensils and clothes/ We tried to make them aware of the need to conserve water and how they can use the river water judiciously. They were also convinced about the same. All the people took the oath not to waste water and save it for the future generations.
