Write a short note on Mendeleev’s periodic law.

Mendeleev’s Periodic Law states that properties of elements are periodic functions of their atomic masses. This means that the physical and chemical properties of elements depend on their atomic weight such that on arranging elements in increasing order of atomic weight, elements with similar properties are repeated after regular intervals of increasing atomic weight.
Mendeleev arranged elements according to their atomic masses and stated that the properties of elements are the periodic function of their atomic mass.
