Why is an atom neutral?

Every atom has protons, electrons and neutrons. Charges of electrons have negative, protons have positive and neutrons have no charge (means neutral). And every atom has an equal number of protons and electrons in it. So there’s an equal number of electrons and protons so opposite charges cancel each other. So the atoms are neutral.

Answer:
Hence the atoms are neutral because the atoms have electrons, protons and neutrons and the charges of electrons and protons are negative and positive and they cancel out each other and the charge of neutrons is neutral.
