What is Union Government?

The term “Union Government” is often used when talking about the Indian government. It means the main government of India, which is like the boss government in a big club made up of 28 states and 8 smaller areas called union territories.

This Union Government has three important parts: one for making decisions, one for making laws, and one for judging things. The boss of the country is the President, and the person in charge of running things day-to-day is the Prime Minister. The group that makes laws is called the Parliament, and it has two parts: one called the Lok Sabha, which is like the lower part, and one called the Rajya Sabha, which is like the upper part.

The Union Government is responsible for taking care of the whole country, including all the states and union territories.
