What is the National Language of India?


According to the Indian constitution, India doesn’t have a single national language. Instead, it recognizes Hindi and English as the official languages. Article 343 of the Indian constitution states that the official language of the country should be Hindi written in the Devanagari script. When India gained independence, the constitution initially included 14 different languages.
