What is JEE Exam?

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance exam in India for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at top institutions like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The exam has two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced

JEE Main is the first stage of the exam and is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year in January and April. The exam is conducted in online mode and consists of two papers: Paper 1 for admission into B.E./B.Tech courses and Paper 2 for admission into B.Arch/B.Planning courses. The exam is a multiple-choice test and consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Advanced, the second stage, is conducted by IITs. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers can appear. This online exam has two papers covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

To be eligible for JEE Main, a candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum percentage required for eligibility varies from year to year and is decided by the NTA.

To be eligible for JEE Advanced, a candidate must have qualified in JEE Main and must be among the top 2.5 lakh candidates. In addition, the candidate must have scored at least 75% marks in the 10+2 examination or must be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

What is The Fees in IIT?

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are among the most prestigious engineering colleges in India. The fees for IITs vary depending on the program and the institute. However, the fees for undergraduate programs are generally in the range of Rs. 2-3 lakhs per year for Indian students. For international students, the fees are higher and can range from Rs. 7-10 lakhs per year.

In addition to the tuition fees, students also have to pay for other expenses such as hostel fees, mess charges, and other miscellaneous expenses. The hostel fees vary depending on the institute and can range from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 per semester. The mess charges also vary and can range from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,000 per month.

However, it is important to note that the fees for IITs are subsidized by the government, and students from economically weaker sections are eligible for scholarships and fee waivers. In addition, many banks offer education loans to students to help them finance their education.

In conclusion, the JEE exam is a highly competitive engineering entrance exam in India, and the fees for IITs vary depending on the program and the institute. However, the fees are generally in the range of Rs. 2-3 lakhs per year for Indian students, and students from economically weaker sections are eligible for scholarships and fee waivers.
