What is autotrophic nutrition ? Give one example of autotrophs.

In an autotrophic mode of nutrition, an organism can synthesize its own food through photosynthesis.
Green plants are known as producers or autotrophs or autotrophic plants.
Green plants can produce their own food by photosynthesis with the use of light, water, carbon dioxide, or other chemicals.
Green plants contain chlorophyll which is a green coloured photosynthetic pigment and is responsible for photosynthesis in green plants.
Chlorophyll is found in the chloroplast which is present inside the mesophyll cells in the leaves of plants.
Hence, autotrophic nutrition means synthesization of one’s own food and examples of autotrophic nutrition are algae and green plants.
