Zero is an even number.
Imagine numbers lining up: 0, 2, 4, 6… See, it fits right in with the even crowd! An even number is one that can be divided by 2 without leaving any leftovers. Zero fits that rule; you can split zero into two equal parts, no remainders. Odd numbers, like 1, 3, 5, don’t fit into pairs evenly. Zero might seem special because it’s neither positive nor negative, but it’s definitely even when it comes to numbers and how they group up.
