Introduction to the Concept of Changes

What is Change?

Change simply means the conversion of something from one form to another.

Leaves changing colour from green to orange during autumn, the melting of ice cream; are examples of change.

What are the changes we see around us?

Changes form the basis of our daily lives. All the changes that we see around us can be categorised into two types; Reversible and Irreversible.

● Examples of reversible change

The ice melted to water can be frozen back to ice. A mould made from wet clay can be remoulded into any other shape.

● Examples of irreversible change

An omelette cannot be turned into an egg. Dough once baked into bread, cannot be turned back into dough.
