Explain in brief about Bhabar, Bhangar, Khadar and Terai.

Bhabar, Bangar, Khadar and Terai are geological subdivisions of alluvial soil.
Bhabar: Located at the foot of the Shivalik Hills. The width is 8 to 16 km. There is no river because it is made up of pebbles. Not suitable for agriculture.
Bhangar: It covers most of the northern plains. It consists of old alluvial soil. It contains limestone deposits locally called “Kankar”. The soil is not very fertile.
Khadar: Ii also exists on northern planes like Bangar. Contains a new alluvium. Widely used in agriculture.
Terai: It is made of relatively fine alluvium and is covered with forest. There is an underground stream and the area is wetland. Suitable for agriculture.
