Write the difference between Open and closed circulatory system

Open and closed circulatory system

- When blood pumped by the heart passes through large vessels into open spaces (lacunae) or body cavities (sinuses), it is called Open circulatory system.

e.g arthropods and mollusks.

- When the blood pumped by the heart is always circulated through a closed network of blood vessel,it is called closed circulatory system.

e.g Annelids and chordates
