Mode of nutrition in Bacteria:

a) Autotrophic bacteria: They may be photosynthetic as they have chlorophyll and can synthesize their own food in sunlight from simple inorganic molecules Or they may be chemosynthetic which oxides different chemical molecules & use released energy for the synthesis of ATP.

b) Heterotrophs: Depend on other organisms or dead organic matter.
