With the help of the diagram write a note on stomach

- Stomach is a sac-like muscular J-shaped organ, located in the upper left part of

the abdominal cavity just below the diaphragm.

- The stomach has the following three regions :

• A cardiac portion, into which the oesophagus opens.

• A fundic portion, that follows the cardiac portion and

• A pyloric region, which opens into the duodenum.

- The opening of the pyloric stomach into the duodenum is guarded by the pylric

sphincter.
