Moon is a non-luminous body because it shines by reflecting the sunlight falling on it. Moon does not have its own light. It is the reason that moon is not considered as a luminous body. It just reflect the sunlight.
As moon shines by reflecting the sunlight falling on it hence it is not considered as a luminous body
