Why are people considered a resource?

Only people can transfer natural materials into resources.

With the help of their abilities, education, knowledge, skills, and technology, people have the talent to create because it is an asset to the economy.

People are the stock of skill and product knowledge.

People are the main contributors to the creation of the gross national product and hence are considered as a resource.

All the resources that are available in an economy are useless in the absence of people. It is the individuals and people who add value to the available resources. People are considered unique resources, and to develop these resources, the government hugely invests through education, training, medical care, research centers, etc.
