Who proposed Five-kingdom classification?

R.H. Whittaker (1969) proposed five-kingdom classification , they are:

i) Monera

ii) Protista

iii) Fungi

iv) Plantae

v) Animalia

The criteria used by him include cell structure, thallus organization,mode of nutrition, reproduction and phylogenetic relationships.
