Question
Mass of one atom of hydrogen is 1gm and mass of one atom of oxygen.
The molecular formula of water is H2O.
The water molecule consists of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen.
Therefore, 2 x Mass of hydrogen = 2 x 1 = 2gm.
1 x Mass of oxygen = 1 x 16= 18gm.
The mass of one mole of water =18 grams.
Hence, the mass of one mole of water is 18 grams
