What is SA node Mention its location

- SA node is node of specialized cardiac muscle fibres, which is actually the

remnant of the sinus venosus that has completely merged with the wall of right atrium.

- It is located on right upper corner of the right atrium.

- The SA node determines the rate of discharge of the cardiac impulse and thus the

rate of heart beat; hence it is called as pacemaker of the heart.
