What is monograph?

A systematic study of a particular taxonomic group is known as a monograph.

Monographs try to review all the facts about a taxonomic group, and species descriptions which include morphology, phenology, ethnobotany, distribution, specimens cited, common names, etymology, etc.

A comprehensive systematic study of a particular taxonomic group is referred to as a monograph.
