Question

Carl Linaaeues gave two kingdom classification and classified the organisms into two major kingdoms, plant and animal kingdom namely. But this system classification was not accepted much as it combines all the unicellular, multicellular, eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms. Very later R.H whittaker gave five kingdom classification and placed each of the organisms on basis of cellular organization, reproduction, cell wall composition and so on.

Amongst the classification of whittaker the very first kingdom was Monera. Kingdom monera, takes into account those organisms which are unicellular and are prokaryotic. They can be further classified into archaebacteria, and eubacteria on basis of the type of cell wall present.

All bacterias are included in the kingdom monera.
