Heart is a powerful muscular pumping organ which pumps blood from heart to body via the circulatory system.

Heart is located a little to the left of the mode of our chest and is about the size of your first.

It has four chambers -

• Left atrium
• Right atrium
• Left ventricle
• Right ventricle

Function of heart

• It is a network of blood vessels that pumps blood throughout our body.
• It controls rhythm and speed of heart rate.
• It also ensures that adequate blood pressure is maintained in the body.
• Blood delivers oxygen, hormones, glucose and other components to various parts of the body, including the human heart.
