It is the movement of humans, animals and goods from one place to another . Transport is important in our life because it provides services like transfer of goods etc. We have 4 modes of transport-

Road transport -It includes vehicles that run on roads these include buses, cars, cycles etc. It is a part of our daily life. It makes our journey easy and comfortable. It is affordable by everyone. It is available Everywhere in land and it is the cheapest mode of transportation.

Rail transport-Train is a means of rail transport . It is a commonly used and very cost effective mode of commuting and goods carriage over long as well as short distances. It has cheaper transport and a larger capacity.

Water transport-It is the transport which runs on water. Boat, yacht, motor boat, ship ,etc are examples of it . It also carries goods and people. It is helpful in transporting heavier goods. It is a slow form of transport and is unsuitable for urgent goods .

Air transport-It is the fastest and most expensive mode of transport. It is the modern means of transportation. It is used for transporting costly and light weight consignments.
