What are the means of reproduction in fungi, write the steps

Means of reproduction in fungi:

a) Vegetative means: Fragmentation, fission and budding.

b) Asexual reproduction: By oospores, ascospores and basidiospores.

Spores are produced in fruiting bodies.

Steps of sexual cycle:

a) Fusion of protoplasm between two motile or non-motile gametes i.e. plasmogamy.

b) Fusion of two nuclei i.e. karyogamy.

c) Meiosis in zygote resulting in haploid spores.
