Uses of water

In our body, water brings nutrients to all the cells and oxygen to our brain. Water enables nutrients, proteins, amino acids, glucose and other compounds to be consumed and assimilated by the body. Water helps us to remove toxins and other wastes through urine. Water also helps us to maintain the temperature of our bodies. The different uses of water in various fields:

Water use for agriculture

We know that agriculture is completely dependent on water for the cultivation and growth of various crops. It is the largest consumer of water. About 70% of water is used for irrigation. In addition, water is necessary for gardening, farming and fisheries. During the process of photosynthesis, they consume water. To yield crops, fruits, flowers, and vegetables, they need sufficient water, manure, sunlight and oxygen.

Domestic uses of water

In domestic water is used for various purposes like drinking, bathing, cooking food, washing dishes, clothes, fruits, vegetables, and brushing teeth. The total usage of water in the country is around 5 %.

Industrial uses of water

In industry, water is also used at various levels like washing, cooling, processing, transporting, diluting or fabricating a product. It is also used in creating or to cool the equipment used for creating the product. The maximum amount of water is used to produce chemicals, paper and food. Water is also used in transportation, manufacturing, hydroelectric power, removal of body wastes, tourism and recreation.
