What are the characteristics of slime molds?

Slime molds:

a) Saprophytic protists

b) Their body moves along the decaying twigs and leaves.

c) Under suitable conditions they form an aggregation called plasmodium, which can grow extensively. In unfavorable conditions plasmodium differentiate into fruiting bodies bearing spores at tips.

d) The spores are dispersed by air currents and can withstand adverse conditions.
