Suggest some measures to conserve natural vegetation and wildlife

There are various measures that can be taken for the conservation of natural vegetation and wildlife;

1.  Awareness programmes like social forestry and Vanamohatasava are started to encouraged the sense of protection at the regional and community level.

2. National parks, wildlife sanctuaries, biosphere reserves are setup to protect our natural vegetation and wildlife.

3. Various inlets, lakes and water bodies are put in the red category to protect marine life.

4. Various international institutions like CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and PETA are established to protect various animal species, birds and natural vegetation.
