= 100 m

Area of the trapezium shaped field

= 10500 m²

Let side along the road be x m and side along the river = 2x m

Mensuration Area of the trapezium field

= 1/2 (a+b)h

⇒ 10500 = = 1/2 (x + 2x) × 100

⇒x = 70m

Hence the side along the river = Mensuration

= 2 × 70 = 140 m.
