Question

Answer: After France became a republic in 1792,  then Jacobin leader Robespierre adopted a strict control and punishment policy. He was a kind of dictator. This led to the terrorist politics of  the next few years. After the end of Robespierre's reign, a register was formed to avoid the concentration of  one person's power.

Directory members often fought between them, leading to complete turmoil and political instability. This created a political gap in France. This was a favorable situation, and Napoleon Bonaparte came to power as a military dictator.
