Covalent compounds are usually  found in liquids or gaseous states. Eg. Methane, water etc.

Only some of them are  found in solid state.eg. Diamond and silica

Covalent compounds usually have low melting and low boiling point.

Covalent compounds are usually insoluble in water eg  methane

They  are soluble in organic solvents. methane

They are insulators.Eg. Diamond.
