For 52 weeks there are 52 sundays for sure and if the one day remaining two days is sun day then the number of sunday in that year will be 53.

We can get this days by following combination: 

(i) Sunday, Monday 

(ii) Monday, Tuesday

(iii) Tuesday, Wednesday

(iv) Wednesday, Thursday 

(v) Thursday, Friday 

(vi) Friday, Saturday 

(vii) Saturday, Sunday 

Then we can get Sundays for 2 combinations out of 7 combinations. 

So, the probability of 53 days in a leap year =27 

 

Hence the probability of getting 53 sundays in a leap year is 27.
