Question
Chloroplast is a cell organelle that is responsible for photosynthesis in plants and few algae.
The chloroplast is bound by two membranes called outer and inner membrane.
It consist of thylakoids in which photosystems are embedded. PS II in appressed part and PSI in non appressed part.
The thylakoids are stalked together to form grana.
Grana are connected through stroma lamella.
Space between the thylakoid and inner membrane is filled with stroma, matrix containing starch granules, DNA, ribosomes and dissolved enzymes.
