Explain the following giving an example:A bidentate ligand

Ligands which can bind the central metal through two sites/atoms  in a complex are called bidentate ligands.

Example -Ethylenediamine NH₂CH₂CH₂NH_2; it  can binds through two nitrogen atoms. 

Bidentate ligands bind through two sites in a complex.
