Describe the structure of Human Heart

- Heartis situated in the thoracic cavity, in between the two lungs, slightly tilted to the left.

- The heart has adouble walled membranous covering called pericardium.

- Human heart has four chambers, two small upper chambers are called atria and two larger lower chambers called ventricles.

- The right and the left atria are completely separated by a thin, muscular wall called the interatrial septum.

- The left and the right ventricles are separated bya thick-walled, the inter ventricular septum.

- The atrio-ventricular septum is a thick fibrous tissue which separate the atrium and the ventricle.
