Describe the internal structure of dicot leaf with the help of diagram.

The epidermis, mesophyll, and vascular tissues are visible in the interior anatomy of dicotyledonous leaves. Epidermis: A dicotyledonous leaf has a dorsiventral epidermis. It has two epidermal layers: upper and lower. The epidermis is typically made up of a single layer of densely packed cells. The upper epidermis' cuticle is thicker than the lower epidermis'. Stomata are the tiny openings present on the epidermis. Mesophyll: The mesophyll is the ground tissue that lies between the two epidermal layers. Palisade parenchyma and Spongy parenchyma are two types of parenchyma. Palisade cells are found underneath the top epidermis in the palisade parenchyma. One layer of elongated cylindrical cells makes up this structure. They are crammed together. They have a lot of chloroplasts in them. Photosynthesis is used to produce starch. Spongy parenchyma is made up of unevenly shaped cells that are loosely oriented towards the epidermis' bottom layer. Large intercellular spaces and air cavities are enclosed by them. A few chloroplasts can be found in the cells. The passage of gases through the gaps between spongy cells is aided. Tissues of the vascular system: These can be found in the veins. Conjoint, collateral, and closed vascular bundles. A dense covering of thin-walled parenchymatous cells surrounds each vascular bundle. Border parenchyma or bundle sheath is the name given to this layer.

In dicots, dorsiventral leaves are found. A dorsiventral leaf vertical segment is divided into three sections.

1) Epidermis: Epidermis is found on both the upper (adaxial epidermis) and lower surfaces of the skin (abaxial epidermis). A thick cuticle covers the epidermis on the exterior. More stomata are found in the abaxial epidermis than in the adaxial epidermis.

Mesophyll: Mesophyll is a leaf tissue located between the adaxial and abaxial epidermis. The palisade parenchyma and the spongy parenchyma are two types of parenchyma. Mesophyll is made up of chloroplasts, which are responsible for photosynthesis.

3) Vascular system: In the leaves, the vascular bundles are joined and closed. They're surrounded by bundle-sheath cells in dense layers.
