The pollen grains are released from microsporangium and reach to megasprophyll through air currents . Pollen tube emerges and carries the male gamete towards archegonia. It discharges its content near the mouth of archegonia. Fertilization takes place. Male gamete unites with ovum in the ovule forming zygote, which develops into uncovered seed.
