Define the following term : Winnowing

Winnowing- It is the process of separating heavier components from the lighter components of the mixture with the help of wind.

This method is used by farmers for separating lighter chaff from heavier grains.

It is the most basic agricultural practice that involves throwing the mixture into the air and allowing the lighter chaff to be blown away by the wind. the heavier grains, on the other hand fall back down without any impurities.
