Full form of AFCAT

A Full Form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is a common entrance test conducted by the Indian Air Force twice a year to select candidates for its technical and non-technical posts (flying branch and ground service). To crack the AFCAT exam and join the Indian Air Force, every candidate who appears for the exam must clear the online test and the AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) interview.

AFCAT is conducted twice a year, in February and August. It is also mandatory for candidates applying for ground service posts to appear for Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) along with AFCAT. Know AFCAT full form and other exam details like eligibility, selection criteria, syllabus, salary, etc.

AFCAT Age Limit

If you are applying for AFCAT 2022, you should know about the following. Stay informed about AFCAT Registration Dates.

  • The official age limit of AFCAT for candidates is up to 25 years.
  • Candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot License (issued by DGCA) will get age relaxation for Flying Branch post.
  • These candidates will be eligible to join the IAF within 26 years.

Qualification Required For AFCAT

  • For Flying: Prospective must be a graduate of any degree with a minimum of 60% inspection at graduation. He probably scored 60% in physics and maths in twelfth grade.
  • For Technical Branch: Candidates must either be exposed to or qualify for a 4-year degree and have completed the Associate Membership Examination in Section A and B of the Indian Institute of Engineers or Aerospace with at least 60%.
  • For Ground Services (Non-Tech): B. Com. Graduate with minimum 60% marks. For official post-training, applicants should have MBA/MCA or M.A./M.Sc in English/Physics/International Studies/Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics/International Relations/Defence Studies/Psychology/Informatics/IT/Management/Journalism/Public Relation / Mass Communication with at least 50% and achieved at least 60% in graduation.afcat full form

AFCAT Syllabus

  1. English:Synonyms, Comprehension, Antonyms, Testing of Vocabulary, Sentence Completion/Filling in of right wordError Detection, Idioms and Phrases.
  2. General Awareness:Inquiries in this segment will be posed from History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Sports, and so forth.
  3. Numerical Ability:In this topic, applicants will get inquiries from the Number system, Decimal, Fraction, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Time and Work, Average, magnitude relation and Proportion and Simple Interest, Time and Distance.
  4. Military Aptitude Test and Reasoning:Inquiries will be posed from Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

Salary

An allowance of Rs. 52,600 will be paid to Indian Air Force students during training. The duration of training for AFCAT is 1 year. Latest AFCAT Compensation Schedule for Accused Official (Monthly)
