Full form of DRDO

"Defense Research and Development Organization" is the full form of DRDO. DRDO is the department of the Republic of India, which is responsible for the research and development of the military. It was created in 1958 by merging the DSO (Defense Science Organization) with the Technical Development Facility and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production. Its headquarters are located in New Delhi, which falls under the administration of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of India.

The organization is supported by more than 5,000 researchers and approximately 25,000 scientific and other training resources. Significant developments have already been achieved in many primary weapons technology programs, missiles, light combat aircraft, radars, electronic warfare systems, etc.
